Leif [photographer]

Bio

All great stories start out with a lone protagonist struggling to find his way through a tough world. This one is no different, other than the fact that our protagonist is not a hero but a simple photographer that prefers to create art that shows the true heros all around us.

Where to Start?

First lets just say that Leif is a world renound photographer, well at least in photography circles and the arts community. He has a bachelors degree in photography from Boston University and a masters in Photography and Photojournalism from the University of North and South Dakota. While earning his degrees he was awarded many internships with various publications such as National Geographic and Architectural Digest.

Episode Two...

Now here is where the story gets exciting! Leif spent 3 years in Africa traveling with only his camera supplies and some minimal survival gear. Actually he was living in a small studio apartment in Hoboken, but Africa sounds more daring. The story really does get exciting. Because after school Leif landed his first major photo shoot for Miramax for a movie poster for a small indepdent film called Windmill. His work was noted as "revolutionary and inspiring" by movie critcs the world round.

Now this is definately a great way to start out a budding career for a photographer. Leif then proceeded to land many major shoots for other film companies and even some well known fashion designers.

Present Day.

Now Leif resides in upstate New York and works as a freelance photographer on projects he picks and chooses. His projects now-a-days are strictly those that are close to his heart.
